The rules for buying, using, transferring and reselling tickets on TicketZo. Please read them before you buy.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use TicketZo, operated by doops (Pvt.) Ltd. ("TicketZo", "we"). By browsing, creating an account or buying tickets, you agree to them. TicketZo is a marketplace: each event is run by its organizer, who is responsible for the event itself. We sell tickets on the organizer's behalf.
2. Accounts and guest checkout
- You must be 18 or older and give true, current details. Each person may hold one account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think it has been misused.
- You can buy as a guest with your name, email and mobile number. Your tickets are linked to those details, and you can later set a password to open them in a full account.
- We may suspend or close accounts used for fraud, bots, scalping or breaking these terms.
3. Buying tickets
- Prices are in Sri Lankan rupees (LKR) and include the ticket price set by the organizer plus a booking fee shown before you pay. Our server confirms the final total at payment.
- Selected tickets are held for a limited time while you check out. If the timer runs out, they are released to other fans.
- Each event has a purchase limit per verified identity (mobile number, and NIC or passport for some events), not per account. Orders that break the limit may be cancelled.
- For high-demand events you may need to wait in a virtual queue, or enter a ballot where winners are drawn by a published, verifiable method.
- An order is confirmed only once payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation. If we make a clear pricing error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
- Promo codes have their own conditions, can't be exchanged for cash and may be withdrawn.
4. Using your tickets
- Tickets are electronic and live in your TicketZo wallet. The entry QR code changes every few seconds, so screenshots and copies won't work at the gate.
- Each ticket admits one person once. The first valid scan uses it.
- The organizer and venue may refuse entry or remove anyone for safety reasons, for breaking venue rules, or for age restrictions stated on the event page. Bring ID if asked.
- Event details such as performers, timings and seating are set by the organizer and can change.
5. Transfers and official resale
- You can transfer a ticket for free to another TicketZo user. The old QR code stops working and a new one is issued to them.
- If the organizer allows it, you can resell a ticket only through TicketZo's official resale, at or below the price cap shown. The buyer gets a newly issued ticket.
- Selling or advertising tickets anywhere else, above face value, or with bots or fake accounts is not allowed. Tickets bought or resold this way may be cancelled without a refund.
6. Event changes, cancellations and refunds
If an event is cancelled, postponed or significantly changed, we notify ticket holders and refunds follow the event's refund policy shown at checkout. The full rules are in our Refund policy.
7. What you must not do
- Use bots, scripts or multiple accounts to join queues, enter ballots or buy tickets.
- Give false details, use someone else's payment method or identity, or make chargebacks for orders you received.
- Copy, forge or tamper with tickets or QR codes.
- Interfere with, overload or try to break into the platform, or scrape it without our permission.
- Break any law while using TicketZo.
8. Organizers
Organizers must be verified before selling and are responsible for delivering their event as described, for their refund policy, for permits and venue safety, and for how they use attendee data. Payouts are settled in LKR after the event, less TicketZo's fees and any refunds. Separate organizer terms may also apply.
9. Our content
The TicketZo name, logo, design, software and content belong to us or our licensors. Event names, images and descriptions belong to their organizers. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.
10. Liability
We work hard to keep TicketZo available and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as travel or accommodation costs, or for the organizer's acts in running the event. Our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Sri Lanka's Consumer Affairs Authority Act or other laws that can't be excluded.
11. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to an order is the one in force when you placed it. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. We'll always try to resolve a problem with you directly first; if we can't, the courts of Sri Lanka will decide.
